We Have a Winner! Plus I Need Advice/Input...

The winner of my 100 follower giveaway is Kelly B. Congratulations Kelly and thank you so much to everyone who participated!! Don't worry if you didn't win because if you had your eye on some products in my store, I am throwing a sale through May 1st! Go check it out and stock up before the sale ends! Also, go back to the giveaway post to check out the awesome bloggers who helped out if you were interested in some of their products.

Okay, now for the advice and your input for a chance to earn a free product from my store. One of my best friends is getting ready to start her teaching blog and asked for my help. I'm excited to meet (internet date!) with her this week to get her started, but she got me thinking. First of all, there is a chance that I might get to loop onto 1st grade with my kiddos this year. If we don't do it this year, we might do it next year. This is where I need your advice and input. When I started this blog, I never thought I would get so serious with it like I am now. I am beginning to wonder if I should switch over to a new blog that is more general and doesn't specify the grade level in the name. I love Kinder Krazy, it fit perfectly for me, but what happens if I become a first grade teacher? My friend made a great point that it would be easier to switch now when I don't have a ton of followers (don't get me wrong, I am stoked with the 127 followers that I have now) but hopefully many of you would switch over with me to my new blog.  :) So here are my questions....

1. What are your thoughts on the switch since I will likely be in a new grade level sometime in the future?
2. (For the free product) What should I name my new blog? I'm thinking something with my name (Mrs. Berns) in it. It might be neat to keep the Krazy theme too, but I don't have to. Thoughts?!

I would love to hear what you think and if I choose the name you come up with, then I will reward you with a free product from my store! Either leave a comment below or email me! There will only be one winner, so get your creative caps on! :)

As always, thank you so much for your support! I am so excited about all of the friendships I've made through blogging this year! :)

  1. You can always keep your blogspot URL and just change your header to First Grade Krazy. That way all of your backlinks are still valid. If you do decide to start a new blog, now is definitely the time to do it!

  3. I like Jessica's idea above. I have seen a couple of blogs that have done this, but sorry, can't remember which ones. You need a "future-proof" name, so then it doesn't matter what grade you teach. "Mrs Berns and her Krazy Kid Kapers" (a bit long, I know) but there are quite a few long titled blogs out there: e.g. Don't let the teacher stay up late; Run, Mrs Nelson's got the camera, etc. Good luck with it all and I think it's a great idea! thursdaytook@hotmail.com

Keepin It Krazy with Mrs. Berns OR Mrs. Berns' Krazy Learning Fun

No matter what you name it I look forward to reading more of your great ideas!!

  6. Def. don't start a new blog! Keep the one you have and just "update" your header and your can even "update" your URL. That's what I did like the first few days I had my blog b/c I kept changing my mind. If you want to use your name you could always do something "Mrs. Berns & the Krazies" or "Krazy with Mrs. Berns & Kiddos". There are just always so many to go with. Even though I have taught Kindergarten I went with Lovely Literacy and More b/c of the fact of possibly changing grades since you never know, plus Literacy is what I like best. What's your classroom theme? Like if it's pirates--- Mrs. Bender's Krazy Pirates... or Mrs. Bender's Krazy Klass but I kinda don't like the idea of calling kids "krazy"...I will have to think of some more tonight and just give you a list... LOL!
